Guidance notes

Low-dose diuretics are acceptable (Table A1): hydrochlorothiazide below 25 mg/day, furosemide up to 40 mg/day with potassium supplementation. High-dose kaliuretic diuretics (above 25 mg HCTZ equivalent) and acetazolamide are unacceptable. Consider dehydration and urinary frequency on long sectors.
