Table A1: antimuscarinic anti-spasmodics (hyoscine, belladonna, propantheline, dicyclomine) are unacceptable — atropine-like side effects include dry mouth, blurred vision and confusion. Mebeverine, alverine and peppermint oil are the acceptable anti-spasmodics.
