Topical nasal preparations are listed as acceptable in SA-CATS 67 Table A1. The underlying congestion still carries a significant barotrauma risk and must be assessed. Avoid prolonged use (rebound congestion). Ophthalmic decongestants, by contrast, are unacceptable.
